Online Licence Course Process:
Step 1: Click on the "Commence Online Training" button to start your online training. On completion of your online training print your certificate of completion.
Step 2: Visit Course Dates, enter your details and "Submit" to book your chosen online assessment session (you will receive a confirmation email with session information).
Step 3: On completion of your online assessment session you are required to attend a Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads Customer Service Centre, lodge your "Statement of Competency", pay the prescribed fee and you will be issued your boat and/or jet ski licence.
Online Course Information:
The online boat and jetski training is approved by the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) and is a new and innovate approach to training!
We offer online boat licence training in Brisbane and surrounding areas. You can now complete your boat and jetski licence online in Brisbane with the theory component undertaken in the comfort of your own home.
Your can attend either Gold Coast, Redcliffe, Bribie Island, Atkinson or Somerset Dams to complete your online assessment session.
To enroll in an online assessment session you must have completed your Online training, we can not book you in an online assessment session until you have completed your online training.
Your online boat licence theory component should take between 4 to 5 hours and your jetski licence theory component should take between 1 to 1.5 hours and both can be completed in the comfort of your own home.
You can logout and log back into the online component as many times as you want beginning from where you left off.
These components must be completed within 4 days from commencement of your online course otherwise the course will reset you at the beginning of the course again, but not charge you any further fees.
On completion of these online components you will be given the opportunity to print your certificate of completion which you must bring along to your online assessment session. You must then visit Course Dates choose a suitable date and location and "Submit" this information to us. Your online assessment session must be completed with us as soon as practicable after completion of your online training, preferably within a week.
The online assessment session on both courses consist of your TMR written assessment and your on water practical training and assessment. The assessment session for your boat licence should take around 2 hours and your jetski licence around 1 hour.
Once your online course is paid for there is no additional cost for attending your assessment session. However, if do not attend your assessment session as booked and not notify us within 4 hours of the attendance time and date there will be an additional fee of $50 charged for your second assessment session booking payable on attendance.
